Abstract
A review of the effects of tropical cyclone Chloe off Port Hedland in February 1984 is presented. Data on waves and storm surge has been collected and successful methods developed for analysis. Of interest is the investigation into the recovery of wave parameters from relatively deep sub-surface pressure recorders. Comparisons with predictive formulae for waves and computer models of storm surge has been undertaken.
