Abstract
The aim of this project is to explore RAFT polymerization and arm-first approach to synthesize well-defined star polymers in drug delivery. Star polymers carry multi-arms or branched macromolecules radiating from a common branched unit or a central core. Star polymers have been already employed in a wide range of areas from physical chemistry to advanced materials. In recent year, an increasing number of publications have reported the star shaped polymers using different techniques. In particular, well-defined core cross-linked star (CCS) polymers attract more interesting, and have been increasingly prominent in the scientific literature. As a result, in this thesis, the synthesis method, techniques and the application will be comprehensive review
