dc.description.abstract Sustainable development, and regulating for it, isn’t new. So why does this cause us so much difficulty? The paper discusses the background to this question in broad terms, then details the likely influence of initiatives such as State Environment Planning Policy (SEPP) BASIX in NSW. It includes an exhaustive checklist, modelled on an Australian private sector development which made notable progress towards incorporating sustainability principles. en_US
