dc.description.abstract The theme for the seminar, ‘Social Security and Family Welfare: Directions and Options Ahead’, was deliberately chosen to relate these two concepts in a perspective which would bring into focus the respective roles of Commonwealth and State governments in the provision of social security and social welfare services. The six addresses presented at the seminar examined these two related areas from a range of perspectives, resulting in a wide coverage of issues, and questions. Comments from the participants indicated clearly that issues of social security and family welfare were of much concern in the community. en_US
