Abstract
Positive Health is a longitudinal cohort study of HIV-positive men and women living in NSW and Victoria. A major focus is the impact of HIV and associated treatments on health, and more generally, on the lived experience of People Living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) over time.

Method of Data Collection: Clinical measurements; face-to-face interview Sample Population: HIV-positive gay and other homosexual men living in New South Wales. Sampling Procedures: A broad range of recruitment strategies were adopted including recruitment through media, venues, events, community organisations, social groups and through participants in other relevant studies; distribution of project newsletters and cards; referrals from medical practitioners; personal networking; and ''snowballing'' through friends of participants.
