dc.description.abstract Investigations to provide design data for shipping operations on the gulf of Carpentaria at Gove.Waves due to trade winds and tropical cyclones were forecast for two possible harbour locations. The likely characteristics of seiche at one site was found unlikely to affect shipping. Current and sand movements were studied. Model studies investigated breakwater overtopping and harbour protection. en_US
