Abstract
This report is the second to appear in the Social Welfare Research Centre's new Research Resource series. It contains an annotated bibliography for 1980-85 of material on community care for the elderly. It covers material published both within Australia but also research published overseas notably, but not entirely, in the United States and Great Britain. The subject matter of this bibliography is currently of great interest, reflecting both demographic trends towards a greater proportion of the elderly in the population and policy developments regarding the appropriate balance between community and institutional care for the aged. For this reason, it should prove to be an extremely useful addition to the research resources currently available.
