Abstract
The effect of flood behaviour in the river was measured in a hydraulic model, passing appropriate flood discharges and analysing the results. The effects of the lake on tides, sedimentation, pollution, bank erosion and channel stability were evaluated by field surveys and computation. The proposed is a desirable public amenity for flood mitigation, recreation, provision of sand, and mitigation of pollution. Certain precautions are recommended in 8:22 of the report.
