Abstract
Problem of estimating yield of small semi-arid catchments from rainfall and evaporation data. Model for relating runoff to rainfall is used with six different gauged catchmentsto from 15 acres to 3500 square miles: rainfall from 21 inches to 50 incehes annually. New light is shed on the part of the hydrological cycle from rainfall to runoff. Future improvements reviewed.
