Hydraulic design of intakes with special reference to model-prototype relationships.

Abstract

Methods outlined were used to design intakes for power stations in N.S.W. Vortex phenomena and air entrainment were studied. A scale model reproduced observations. Remedial measures from models were put into effect in prototype.
