Abstract
Reports on groundwater quality decline as a result of usage exceeding sustainable yield and surface irrigation water seepage. The aquifers are overlain by clayey silts which contain high salinity water. Liverpool Plains site was selected to measure leakage and usage. Continuous measurement and monitoring is recommended to ensure sustainable yield and water quality.
