dc.description.abstract The implementation of an EMS to the laboratory facility was not as straightforward as was previously thought. Different means in achieving the requirements of the EMS were considered before setting up an interim system. Some of the major setbacks faced in the development of an environmentally friendly premises, where the daily activities have the lowest possible impact on the environment, are outlined. en_US
