Abstract
This project contains the results from a number of membrane autopsies conducted within the Centre for Science and Technology, specifically investigating the prevalence and detection of free chlorine damage to thin film composite (TFC) membranes sourced from both municipal and industrial water treatment facilities. The FTIR analysis conducted for these set of membrane samples has been collected in order to compare results across a range of commercial membranes and for different operating conditions, in order to improve the reliability of interpretation of the detection of chlorine damage. The results from the Fujiwara testing has also been include where it has been conducted. This inform recorded in order to be able to compare information across a range of different membrane types, ages and usage situations
