The Sydney Gay Community Periodic Survey data results from a cross-sectional survey of gay and homosexually active men recruited through a range of gay community sites in Sydney. Data were collected on types of sexual relationships and number of partners, anal and oral intercourse, unprotected anal intercourse, testing for HIV and other STIs, HIV serostatus, recreational drug use, and demographic characteristics such as sexual identity and age. Sample Population: 3,732 gay and homosexually-active men from Sydney in 2006. Method of Data Collection: Self-completion. Kind of Data: Survey. Sampling Procedures: Men were recruited through fourteen sites - seven gay social venues, four gay sex on premises venues and three sexual health clinics in 2006. Time Dimensions: Repeated cross-sectional study between February 1996 to August 2006.
