Abstract
The South East Queensland Gay Community Periodic Survey is a cross-sectional survey of gay and homosexually active men recruited through a range of sites in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Data were collected on types of sexual relationships and number of partners, anal and oral intercourse, unprotected anal intercourse, testing for HIV and other STIs, HIV serostatus, recreational drug use, and demographic characteristics such as sexual identity and age.Sample Population: 1,341 gay and homosexually-active men from South East Queensland.Method of Data Collection: Self-completion. Kind of Data: Survey.Sampling Procedures: Men were recruited through eight sites: the Pride Fair Day, one sexual health clinic, and five gay-community venues in Brisbane, one each in the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.Time Dimensions: Repeated cross-sectional study. http://csrh.arts.unsw.edu.au/research/publications/gcps/
